Create and edit hotkeys

Add hotkeys to tools or menu items to allow quick access.

Create or edit a hot key for a tool or menu

1 Choose Preferences > Interface > Hotkeys / Menus.

2 Click in the editable field next to the tool or menu item name.

3 Type a letter (for a single key hotkey) or a control key string (a combination of the words Alt, Shift, and/or Ctrl followed by a letter) and press Enter .

If you type a single letter, you can only use that hotkey when single key hotkeys are on (see below).

Tip Tip

Hotkeys show up next to the names of menu items in the menus.

Turn single key hotkeys on or off

Choose Preferences > Tgl single hotkeys mode.

Note Note

When single key hotkeys are on, you have to press Tab or click in the prompt line before you can type tool input (such as coordinates).
