Drag tools to a shelf with the middle mouse button.

1 Find the shelves window at the bottom of the screen.
Windows > Shelves if the Shelves window is not visible.
Note
The control panel has its own compact shelf area at the top.

-drag menu items and tools onto the open shelf or shelf title tab.
-drag and drop the tool on the trashcan icon.
